2012 French Presidential Elections Explained by CNN’s Jim Bittermann
France’s President, Nicholas Sarkozy, is here in Annecy today and it’s been a big deal with the local press and his followers. The French presidential election is one of the most important elections in the European Union as we know France and Germany have been leading EU fiscal budget talks concerning the bail out of Europe’s broke countries like Greece and Italy.
I obviously can’t vote until I become a French citizen within the next two years, but Mr J has registered and will be voting in April. Who will win the presidency? The currently unpopular Sarkozy or his socialist counterpart Hollande? Ooh la la!
