Nominate an Inspiring Individual in Your Life for a Featured Story
Andy Warhol once said that, in the future, everybody will have their fifteen minutes of fame. It seems, in the present day, Warhol was right. With a lot of famous people out there, it’s hard to distinguish between those who help make a positive difference in our society by giving back and those who suck the life out of us with something to sell. It’s my goal to change that with a new feature article called Inspiring Individuals.
These inspiring individuals are alive today. They can’t be found on the television, per se. They live in our neighborhoods, they work amongst us, and they share our world. They strive to make their communities a better place given the tools and the opportunities they have. These people not only overcome their own struggles, but reach out to others with a hand to help them up.
This new article series seeks to reveal these inspiring individuals that live in plain sight. I seek to ask them their stories, their motivations to find out how these men and women rise up each day and make a difference today. Inspiring Individuals seeks to expose the power of the human spirit.
You might know or live with an inspiring individual. This person could be a life-saving firefighter, a volunteer, a non-profit worker, counselor, a teacher, or a survivor of any kind. I need your help in bringing these people and their stories to the spotlight. Will you join me?
Nominating an inspiring individual is easy to do: Simply fill out this Inspiring Individuals Nomination form and submit it.
Together, we can show the world that inspirational and world changing people don’t just live in Hollywood: They live in our neighborhoods and comprise of our friends, co-workers, and family members.
